I am an anti-poverty advocate and Winnipeg Sun columnist. For the last 30 years I have supported people with various disabilities to live in our community. Since January 2010 I have been writing a monthly commentary in the Winnipeg Sun on disability and poverty related issues. I am currently employed as a Child Care Assistant and Inclusion Aide for the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg.
Why am I participating in The Siloam Sleepout? I believe that a Winnipeg without poverty and homelessness is possible! No one should have to live on our city streets. Siloam Mission is a leader when it comes to ending homelessness in our community. As an advocate for people living in poverty, I am proud to support The Siloam Sleepout. It deserves your support too! Please make a donation today and help us end homelessness in the City of Winnipeg. Thank you.
