Share a little about yourself! Why have you chosen to support Siloam Mission
The past 3 years I’ve attempted to run 100km around our city to raise awareness for a local homeless shelter that helps out some of Winnipeg’s most vulnerable. Through generous donations from the run community, friends, strangers and family. I’ve raised nearly $21000.00 combined in the past three efforts. The first year I ran 100km during a blizzard. 2 years ago I managed 90km, the temperature was -45C. Last year I ran 150miles/241kms in 56hours.
Again, On December 26th Boxing Day I’ll be embarking on what I call, change Boxing Day to Running Day. The Need Project to support Siloam Mission.
The charity I run for is Siloam Mission. They give a hand up to many people that need it. Sheltering, feeding, giving warm clothes and offering resources to many of Winnipeg’s citizens. Citizens who have found themselves in life’s low point.
My ask is, would you like to help me with The NeedProject? Everyone needs food, shelter and clothing. I’ll be running a looped route 30times, a 3.3 kms loop around the Forks, a total distance of 99kms. This may take me 16hours to complete. I’ll start running at 4:00am. Stop at 6:30pm. Take donated funds and items to Siloam Mission for 7:00pm arrival time. Run back to the Forks. Please join me anytime on my run! My fundraising goal is $10000.00 this year.
Please donate to my cause. No amount is too small.
