My name is Max Block, I am a recent graduate of the Asper School of Business with a Double Major in Supply Chain/Logistics and Leadership. Last year, through encouragement from Professor Bruno Dyck's Corporate, Social, Environmental Responsibility class, I had the privilege to participate in the Siloam Sleepout program. Not only did I learn a considerable amount about what those who experience homelessness deal with on a daily basis, but also the systemic barriers and mistakes of the past that led us to where we are today.
COVID-19 has taken its toll on nearly every sector of our economy, yet, none have been nearly as hard as those in our community who experience homelessness. It is incumbent upon us, to take the opportunity to help those in their time of need. Whether it be through meals, supplies, or clothing, Siloam Mission is dedicated to providing an exemplary level of care and respect towards their clients.
I feel a connection to Siloam Mission and those who devote their time to give back to our city. A donation today can and will make a noticeable difference in the lives of others; that is one of the many reasons I am proud to be raising money for this year's Siloam Sleepout.
Thank you for taking the time to read, I hope you have a wonderful day and take care!
